RSS Reflection

I really liked looking at the website Deanna gave for middle school teachers. My building is 5-12 and I am teaching 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade. I hear horror stories everyday about how awful it is on the second floor which is designated for 7th and 8th graders. My room is on the 3rd floor which is dedicated to 9th-12th graders, so I do miss a lot of the excitement. However, I still have middle school students who come to my room for Spanish. So, this website that she found is proving to be especially helpful for me as a middle school teacher.

I joined teachers 2.0 because it will be a great opportunity to share ideas and strategies with others. I will also have a heads up and some of the technological tools that are up and coming in the classroom!

A learner is like a passport. Learners and passports both go all over the world for new experiences, adventures and information. Siemens says that "l'earning is a continual process, lasting for a lifetime." This is absolutely true. This statement shows that a learner travels around and takes in something from everywhere. A passport is stamped everywhere it goes as well. Siemens also stated that having such a large social network he can keep it touch with all of his friends and colleagues around the world. Travel and learning are two things that go hand in hand.
